Snipped and archived by admin. I'm rather uncomfortable with this link and the profanity in this thread so Iv'e removed it and don't want to see it again. I hope everyone understands that their are very serious issues at stake here. Concerned parties with questions and or comments should only contact me via our BB Feedback Form at:

Thanks to weaknesses in MS's activex this sort of stuff is all too easy.

I wonder if this is classed as hacking and punishable through the justice system though?

Also it raises privacy issues - certainly in some european countries - as they are taking private information without consent and with no opt out provision.

My suggestion is to set active x scripting to be by "prompt" - this will also help you prevent the homepage hijackers, favorites adders and other nasty little scripts from being run without your knowledge.

i want to know 2 things:
1) is it legal?
2) do they pay as much as they claim and do they send the checks?

frankly i think the answer to both questions is NO

I've heard that untargeted spam has a horrible conversion rate; something like 1 in a million. I don't see how they could make $1000 from sending 100,000 spam messages.

Their claim of $1000-$2500 is worded in a very vague way; when read closely they seem to be insinuating that they have made that kind of money in the past, but nowhere do they say that they will pay you anything for your traffic. What they are selling after all is just a script, I doubt that they actually go out and finder advertisers willing to pay that much. :) Probably like all those "get paid for stuffing letters" deals that you see in the classifieds. :)

well i was curious enough and actually bought the script yesterday
i paid $1500 for it since the guy said he offers a guarantee if i dont make it back by 17th of December

So far he made me about 300 dollars from the emails.

Maybe i will request a refund at the end as well and get my money back for the script plus make some dollars :)

I say ***** the screwers
lol

"I say ***** the screwers "

You are also ******** the visitors to your site.

Buying the script just ensures that there will continue to be motive to spam and to develop these privacy violating scripts.

The email collection method is so simple that it runs to just a few lines of code so its $1,500 for that and a spam facility and you think you are the one laughing?

ssddltd sounds suspicious if you ask me, on the 8th he said he pretended t be interested and on the 9th he says he bought it and has already made 300 dollars. Hmm, spam must really work good and fast, hehe
