In a nutshell - no.

Zonify has a rep that posts here from time to time. Maybe he will explain why they aren't paying what is owed.

Your site is awesome. It is especially interesting to me, because I also give an app away in exchange for ad space. Only I do it in a niche market. Your apps have a more general appeal.

I am doing this, but I don't know of anyone who has actually made a profitable business with this strategy. I think bravenet just stopped the ad sponsored apps and is going to a pay site only model.

Is this working for you? Also how are you attracting new users of your apps?

Thanks!!

Advertising works for us so far. We were actually one of the first to offer remote hosted web applications back in 1996 so we had a big headstart on just about everyone.

We don't actively seek out new users so I can't really say where they come from or how they find out about us.

Well, the snazzy domain name and thousands of inbound links probably have something to do with it. ;)

The domain name was registered 2/3/1994 back in the days when registering a name was free.

so do you pay for your domain? or do you have a grandfather clause where it is still free
