Hi,

Can anyone recommend some affiliate program scripts that I can run on my website? All I want to do is collect valid e-mail addresses and pay affilliates. Any suggestions?

You might want to consider becoming a merchant at one of the many excellent affiliate networks that exist.

Some possibilities to check out...

FineClicks.com
LeadCrunch.com
DirectLeads.com

I'll probably end up using one of them. I just wished someone made an easy php or cgi program that will do the job so that I won't have to pay the networks the cut so that affiliates will get more money.

FineClicks does offer a pretty good system though.

Hi a1022,

While I don't know where any affiliate program scripts might be, I can tell you that running an affiliate program can be a lot of work. Chances are, the reason why you don't see any quick and easy scripts is because it's simply not quick and easy -- it takes a lot to lay out the affiliate infrastructure, and then keep it working well. Quality analysis, fraud detection, payment systems...all probably need to be custom-designed to your program, meaning you probably won't find a drop-in script to get the job done.

Outsourcing is one way to avoid this, plus you may get the benefit of CRM provided by the network (both to affiliates and to the consumers). An affiliate program is about building relationships, after all, so the more you can do, the better.

For free or cheap CGI, Perl, C+ and PHP scripts check out...

http://www.hotscripts.com
http://cgi.resourceindex.com
http://php.resourceindex.com

I looked in to using OnResponse and they had massive monthly minimums and set-up charges. I really recommend that you run your affiliate program yourself - this way you save big money and also have 100% control.

I checked out those script archives. Could anyone recommend a specific script that they have used with success?

How many affiliates are you planning on managing? Also, how important is cheating for you? - because most free or even cheap scripts probably won't match the security of large affiliate services who have hopefully learnt from their mistakes. ClickXChange is a good service if you are a merchant - they also have a verified email service, where you pay for each email added to your newsletter. Please contact me for my referral link :-)

I don't think cheating is an issue as I am planning to work with a few affiliates when I first start. Plus the e-mail addresses can be confirmed so fake addresses wouldn't register as a lead.

Thanks for the links Singloon. Those program actually seems quite good. Hope it's easy to setup. You know me and my technical skills!
