Our site (www.quotes123.com) has about 100,000 monthly uniques and we want to continue to expand. We are intrigued by e-mail marketing but want to only make deals with legitimate companies that truly own or control their list and have people who are legitimately interested in our financial services.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Hi tymeracer,
PostMasterDirect.com is an excellent source for double opt in and targeted email lists.
They can be expensive but the quality is sound.

If your financial services are consumer driven, you might look at large general entertainment lists.
The advantage is they are cheaper and also more flexible with concern to ad copy, CPA/CPM rates, etc.
The disadvantage is you have to know who you are dealing with and must check references before you entrust your money and website's reputation.

You can also check out the ezine directories
for financial type newsletters to advertise with.
They are usually lower in subscribers but high in quality. Conversions can be expected to be at a high percentage, but lower volume.

Hello,
Although I have no experience in this field. I have heard people recommending Topica.com (http://www.topica.com). Hope that helps.

I use Topica for part of my mailing and they are a good free email lists management site, not really e-mail marketing.

Actually they service both sides of the coin. Topica's Email Marketing page (http://www.topica.com/tep/index.html).
