Please tell me where you think the following link should be placed on geek/talk. Use a URL in combination with your thoughts. Please carefully examine the data the page displays before you post. Some givens:

1) It won't go in it's own forum via a phpinclude variable
2) The data it retrieves won't change
3) The design won't change
4) I have a detailed understanding of how this script works so I already know how to use it to parse from a specific forum. :)
5) The link can appear in more than one place on the BB.
6) Please stay on topic. This is a very important UI decision and once it's placed it's not going to change.

Last 25 Posts (

Much thanks for your anticpated feedback.

I guess it should go on the homepage of http://geekvillage.com/ ala www.cpfc.org rather than anywhere on the forums.

BTW FYI the active topics script can be included anywhere even within the forums implode()

Thanks but I'm a bit confused. Could you please help?

Are you saying that the Last 25 link should not appear inside geek/talk? If NO thats fine. If yes, then where as per my original post.

Perhaps I was not clear enough in my original post :) I am well versed in how to create custom variables via the phpinclude template using "implode" The banner region at the top of every page uses SSI via a custom variable. George even approves :) I plan to insert the last 25 data inside .html pages via ssi. I have already done this with a link off the home page.

My appolagies if my original post lacked details.

Sorry Steve - I think we are both getting confused.

I am a little confused by the structure of this site and where the homepage actually is. Would I be right in thinking that there is only a splash page for the forums and the forums homepage is the site homepage?

If thats the case then the last 25 topics should appear on the 'splash page' I would also include the last 25 polls etc - it's up to you.

Hope I've been clear

Have a look at what we have done at cpfc.org and how we have implented the last 10 topics, polls etc

to which is the present location of geek/talk

Should be a week or two before I'm ready.

Thanks for your input.
