Ad-networks are complaining about not enough US traffic - geek/talk: Web publishing business discussion

Us hosts can't really help the kind of traffic we get. Even if our sites are written in English. A large percentages of people in other countries can speak/read English well. About 50% of my traffic is from the US and only about 10% from UK, where I am from.

I applied to bannerspace and they would have excepted me if I had 75% US traffic. How many people have that high a percentage? Maybe the ad-networks with their own ad servers should filter out non US traffic and show a default, that we can choose? Or maybe we should start using/writing ad servers so we can sell advertising to many countries and try to give as much traffic from those countries as we can.

Any ideas as to the best way to filter traffic? Using javascript is inaccurate and analyzing IP address is expensive on server load.

As the rest of the world gets wired at a faster rate (saturation in the US is far more than in other parts of the world), this problem is going to get even more noticeable.
