Are you buying traffic? Need quotes for E-Book

Hello,

I'm putting finishing touching on an E-Book, title "Buying Traffic for Pennies"

E-Book is aimed at small/home business and webmasters. This e-book is not for multi-million dollar companies.

I need relevant quotes from people, to use in the E-Book. I am looking for quotes relating to buying traffic from any of the following

- pay-per-click placement engines, other than Goto - example: RocketLinks, FindWhat, etc.
- buying clicks on an affiliate network, example: you have your own Pay-per-click program managed by you
- buying traffic from other sources, like lottos or clickthru or whatever

The quote should try include

Where you bought traffic.
When you did it.
How much you paid total and per-visitor.
Were the results good or bad
A general (not necessarily detailed or exact URL) description of where you sent it, and whether it worked for you or not.
I also need your full name, company name, and URL

You do not get any monetary compensation for this.

Here is a sample of the type of thing I want (please don't edit, start your version from scratch)

"I tried to buy traffic at XYZSEARCHABC.COM in since Summer of 1999. I opened a bidding account on 25 keywords, paying $0.01 per click. Unfortunately XYZSEARCHABC.COM hasn't send me quite as much traffic as I hoped for... I have had around an extra 1,000 visitors over a year, so it's cost me just $10. I'm happy with it, but would have loved to had more, but I do reckon it's helped me sell about 10-20 extra orders, which at $100 per order is a sizeable profit and a great ROI." -- John Doe, http://www.johndoesheepclothing.com/


You can obviously use the information you use anywhere else you like, but please do not re-use the exact quote anywhere else.


BUT YOU DO GET

- free publicity, possibly quite considerable as I expect a lot of copies of this E-Book to be in circulation very quickly - but no guarantees

- a free copy of the E-Book when it's done. There is some good info in there I think, even if you know you're stuff already

- possibly, but not guaranteed, you may get reprint rights to the E-Book too.

Isn't it worth 10 minutes of your time? for this.

On 6/18/2000 5:19:00 PM I joined www.findwhat.com with a $50.00 opening balance. Today my balance is $44.86.

I have recieved 43 clicks for 9/00 so far, 18 clicks for 8/00, and 5 clicks for 7/00.

I have 7 terms, all of which are in the top 13, and 4 of these are ranked 10 or better.

I see growth in their trafic and an improvement in their demographics as reflected in my clicks. I'm happy and will let the account run and continue to bid.

News Update

I have finished writing the E-Book

It has grown and grown and grown, and includes a lot of information...

I am doing final checking on spelling + links, and expect to make the book available as of Friday or Saturday. Most people will have to pay for the E-Book = but There is still time to be featured in this E-Book + get a free copy by submitting a sutiable comment on a pay-per-click search engine.
If you do not send comments by midday on Thursday, it's too late for this edition.

zMan - I sympathesize with less affluent geeks, but unfortunately for them I live in an expensive western country, so need to match my company's income to it's expenses.

Basically I have sweated blood to write this, and spent several hundred hours doing it. So I am not prepared to give it away as there is otherwise no return for all that effort. I feel that at the current price of $9.95, I am practically giving it away anyway http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

- for those geek/talk members who
(a) read + liked the book
(b) have their own domain
(c) can accept CCs
(d) agree to T&Cs which are not very demanding, but I will mail you.
(e) i feel comfortable with - this is my decision, and is fuzzy. Do not be offended if I say no - it depends on how well i know you from other contact or from your posts here.


I am prepared to allow these geeks to resell the E-Book from their web sites, royalty free (i.e. you keep ALL the money from their sales), until 31st October 2000. After that date, the geek can switch to the affiliate program or can negotiate a new agreement with me.

Do NOT buy the book simply to resell it. If you do this, you fail test (e) immediately. I only want to work with people who genuinely are interested in the subject + content of the book, and feel it has some inherent value.
