Default MySpace wins $230 million anti-spam judgement against former Geek/Talker

Ha! Just when you thought he'd given up the live of crime to become a fugutive DJ, our old 'friend' Sanford Wallace (the self-proclaimed "King of Spam") is at it again.

He and an associate have been found guilty of deceptively using MySpace accounts to spam members of the popular social network; so much so that they have received a judgement against them under the CAN-SPAM Act amounting to a mere $230 million.

Sanford vanished before the judgement was made, but MySpace reps have stated that they will aggressively pursue him in order to collect what is owed. Given that MySpace is owned by News Corp, which runs one of the biggest satellite networks in the history of the universe, there won't be too many places safe to Sanford to hide.

Is this the end of the notorious Spam King, or will he continue to waste the world's time well into the future?

It may be. You don't know how long, how much and to what extent he was spamming. And he's clearly gotten into trouble for this before.

I just read his blog and he does not seem to concerned about it. Must have made a lot from his spamming days.

Doh... Spammers should not receive any money! If the advertiser finds out that the publisher is spamming he should not receive any money!
