LOL, it'll be in Webmaster Issues in about 5 minutes.

Anyway, use adcycle.com -- made by the owner of fastclick.com -- VERY COOL.

We've been using AdvertPRO for about 6 months now, and we've been very pleased with its features and performance ... the price might be a bit steep for small sites (>$500 out of my head), but you're getting a quality product for sure.

We're most likely to discontinue our AdvertPRO use shortly though, since we can make a lucrative deal with Real Media to licence their OAS ad serving program.

For smaller sites, I'd recommend AdCycle, hand-down a great program. Dot-Banner also is a good program, especially if you have lots of banner inventory to serve across PHP sites.

Hope to help,

I'd second the vote for advertpro. I have the fast cgi version. I think I am putting about half a million impressions a day through it and the server barly notices it.

Try WebAdverts:

It just requires a regular cgi-bin, and can be set using either SSI or <IFRAME>/<IMG SRC>

It's US$50 shareware.

Personally, I use AdCycle, and have constantly been impressed by its scalability, efficiency and feature list. Just as a recent thread here deals with advanced targeting options, AdCycle has for many months supported geotargeting, targeting by domain, by time of day, by day of week, etc, etc. Plus, registration costs less than $100.

Other options worth exploring are AdJugger (whose prices used to start at $795, but have now been removed from the product's site), and the free, but powerful, phpAdsNew.

I like webadverts. It's the only script I've used for serving ads other than the one I've written.

It has a raw html option that is great because you can put in the advertisers full code, and then call it with an ssi call, and it will use the full code.

It's also really easy to set up. I used to set it up for people all the time for free, and I learned the basics of perl setting it up, and editing things on it.

You can create zones to target, but doesn't have the others that were mentioned to be in adcycle.

I haven't been to the site in about a year, but it always had good tech support. And you can edit it to do whatever you want.

Since it's free until you register it, It's definetly worth checking out to see if it fits your needs.

Adcylcle is the only script I have never been able to install. I've installed tons of scripts but for all in me I could not get adcycle to work. So I moved to phpmyadsnew. Thats great if you get the right release but eventually I moved on to a custom wrote ad server by me and still using it and now very happy.
