Opening An Online Store, Any Money To Be Made? - geek/talk: Web publishing business discussion

I'm always flowing with ideas but today when i met a skateboard/snowboard wholesaler guy who said he would hook me up with good prices on skate clothes, skateboards, snowboards and more i started thinking... Would the business actually be profitable and could I maybe run it out of my house or a small office??? Anyone here run an online store if so i'd like to talk to you, also anybody have any experiance or advice to lead me one way or another????

If you can get customers, then yes, it's a great idea.
