The value of a business to society is the wealth and employment it creates and the marketable products and services it provides to consumers at a reasonable price commensurate with quality. To create such value, a business must maintain its own economic health and viability, but survival is not a sufficient goal.Responsibility for the policies and actions of business and respect for the dignity and interests of its stakeholders are fundamental.

When you start your own business, you'll have a lot of different jobs, from salesperson to payroll clerk to bill payer. Having to play all those roles may not be for everyone.

Please add Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) - ensuring that businesses adheres to law, ethical standards, and international norms. Business would embrace responsibility for the impact of their activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere. That is, involving public interest in any decision making.

The biggest thing to remember is to not go all extravogent -- remember to manage money wisely and for the most part try to be very frugal about everything...push every dollar to its fullest potential. I remember the dot com era when eveyrone spent, spent, spent gratuitously.

My advice - if you are unsure about something, don't put it off. See a lawyer's opinion. Also, have a great day! - andy P.S. Just to be clear, I am not a lawyer and I generally don't like talking to them. |

I just hope all business establishments share the same convictions as you do, and not just into generating capital and all that stuff. Anyways, the quality of their product will always be in jeopardy once they value their profit first and not the satisfaction of their consumers. = downfall
