Please add Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) - ensuring that businesses adheres to law, ethical standards, and international norms. Business would embrace responsibility for the impact of their activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere. That is, involving public interest in any decision making.

The biggest thing to remember is to not go all extravogent -- remember to manage money wisely and for the most part try to be very frugal about everything...push every dollar to its fullest potential. I remember the dot com era when eveyrone spent, spent, spent gratuitously.

totally agree, for me I found the first year all I done was invest in equipment/tools (assets that remain yours as long as you dont go bust owing monies) and made sure I kept 3 months running costs in the bank at all times,

IMO, the greatest responsibilities of Business is to take the responsibilities of your clients.As long as but your products, u are responsible for them until they are statisfied.

I have to agree here. There is so much to think about, and I have seen friend's businesses lost because they just ignored compliance to rules of various forms. Their thinking was that, once the business got off the ground, they would go back and make sure that they were not doing something wrong.

My advice - if you are unsure about something, don't put it off. See a lawyer's opinion.

I just hope all business establishments share the same convictions as you do, and not just into generating capital and all that stuff. Anyways, the quality of their product will always be in jeopardy once they value their profit first and not the satisfaction of their consumers. = downfall

Correct. That's important to take note is that obstacles will always arise no matter how flawless your system might be, what you have to do is face the problem, solve it then move forward.
