Pet Peeve: focus()

This is a "feature" that I very much dislike...

Websites which focus the cursor on the entry form onLoad. www.cj.com and www.netaddress.com do this.

I tend to open a few windows at a time, so while one is loading I'll go do something else.... focus() (on mac netscape) brings focus to that form even if the window is in the back... so I'll be typing - but nothing is showing up - until I realize it's being entered onto another window.

Also, I'll be done with one window and hit Command-W to close the front window - but it will isntead close the window with focus.
