Unhappy How is your adsearches multix this month?

I use the adsearches text links and my multix is 0,4 so far...

With my text links (free stuff, sweepstakes, casino, entertainment,...) I used to have about 0,8.

Anyone else with a significant lower multix this month? Maybe you need to have a second page click now to reach a higher multix?!

Thanks for your inputs!

My multix last month was 2.1.

This month so far, it is 2.5... (that's like the highest it goes I think.)

I am making 12 cents per search. That is more then what I make with regular banner ads. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

trader: Mine too. It dropped from a 0.7 to a 0.4 without reason. The same keywords were used.

kerplunk: What keyword(s) are you using? Please let us know.

Well... I have a web site called www.coolquery.com -- It's just a page with a ton of search links from adsearches, and on a few of my pages I have a popup on exit window that goes to Cool Query. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif

There is no specific keywords I use.

If you want a high multix, use words like "gambling" "web hosting" "mortgage" -- That will help a lot.

During the past three months, my multix consistently remained between 0.9-1.1. During the last two days of April, though, my multix dropped to 0.8, and has started this month at 0.5.

Something is definitely up here.

torifan, did you manage to contact the AdSearches admin?

There's another thread where this issue is disucssed at http://geekvillage.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/005734.html
In that thread, I said I'd attempt to get some info from Adsearches on the multix issue. I received an email reply tonight:
Quote:
Hi Dave,

I'd be happy to comment. Multix's are lower because of some temporary price compression in the listings. As you know, the multix is calculated based the average amount we earn per search from an affiliate, which then in turn influences what each first click is worth. Unfortunately, as this temporary price compression occurs, the average value decreases, making the multix lower. I didn't feel write blasting everybody with this info, and it is a situation that we expect to have reversed by the end of the week. I
apologize to those who have seen their multix drop due to no fault of their own.

Thanks to Jay. I'm not totally sure what this means, but it's encouraging to see him respond quickly and defend his company's position.

im using adsearches too.
its always at 1.2-1.4.
touching 2.5 is a bit impossible.
i dont really like adsearches.
will be shifting to findwhat soon.

Digger, I salivate over the thought of a multix of 1.2-1.4 - that's 6-7 cents per search on a 1st click basis. How can you better that with Findwhat?

Kerplunk, if you don't mind sharing, what kind of click through rate do you get on your popup search page?

It's funny how the multix drops all of a sudden on the last 2 days of the month. Effectively lowering all the money you have made so far. I bit suspicious if you ask me even with that 'fluctuation' explanation.

I am a sloppy stats keeper. I just keep everything on one thing so I couldn't tell you how much on the popup page. My CTR is like 3.0% now and since yesterday I am now at 1.8 multix. HMM.
