Bill Graham was a legendary promoter. He promoted concerts featuring the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane and many other big stars.
Because of his name he was sometimes confused with evangelist Billy Graham. The real name of promoter Bill Graham was Wolfgang Grajonza. Bill Graham is a lot easier to remember.
Bill Graham did a great job of saving things for the future. He retained thousands of hours of audio and video recordings of live concerts, tickets, t-shirts, postcards and original photographic negatives. There are more than 20 million items. Everything was stored under ideal conditions.
Much of this is now being offered for sale. But you can listen to some of the history music online and absolutely free.
