Question Some help with ActivePerl

I tried to install ActivePerl on my NT server and I got "you need a new version of the windows NT installer service".

Ok, so I installed Service Pack 6a (high encryption). I tried again and it said the same thing.

What's the deal? I don't think I got a special version of ActivePerl. Is there something else I need to do?

Unhappy

You need to install the MSI installer package (free). It does actually say somewhere on the ActivePerl site that you need this and even links to the file.

BTW I completed the installation and it seems to work from the command line, but I couldn't make Perl work as an IIS app (as it happens I don't care as I use other programming tools anyway, so I gave up pretty quick).

HTH
