Hey all.

You all already know that making money on the Internet is very difficult nowadays. Many things have happened over the few months, like closures, layoffs, decrease in monthly revenue's, etc.

I and maybe other users of this forum are probably wondering how everyones web site is doing!

I'll start off.

- My first web site opened in 1998 and was getting $10,000 from About.com Luna Network for about 3 months before they booted me out of the network saying I was giving them TOO MUCH inventory. I am now making a lousy $10.00 to $100.00 a month.

- My second site. Started as an ad network, closed as an ad network. We launched, unaware of the advertising market conditions and couldn't keep up. We had to close it down. We are working with our new project Snooply.com

- My latest project. Already is looking promising, making an average of $10.00 a day with about 150 to 200 unique visitors a day. We will be expanding with an affiliate program to increase revenues.

That's all for me http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif Let us know how you are all doing.

Take Care!

KP of Snooply, I just have one question... What advertisers and such do you make so much money off of a smaller site? Please get a hold of me:O)))

Well first off, my one website...

Eminem Planet

Its slowly dropping in the number of visitors per day... due to failing popularity of the artist.

I roughly receive 5,000+ unqiues / day

Britney Spears Planet

Slowly dropping again... My current webhost has changed servers, and now I am lacking the webspace to host my large pictures section...

Currently receiving roughly 300 uniques a day. (Due to my Pictures section being not accessible)

And KP if you can get back to me (email or icq)... that would be great!

Started as search engine with a great biz. plan... but it was lacking, traffic. The only way people would submit their site for $10 is if zizap was getting 100,000's of searches/day... which it wasnt. It officially launched on Jan. 28th, and officially ended on April 2nd.

soon-to-launch internet toolbar.... AWESOME bizness plan which will make money from day 1. Launches mid-may. There WILL be an affiliate program and i will keep everyone informed...

Just something fun I do on the side.. traffic is about 200 unique/day on good days.. but it is high in every search engine.. so when xbox launches itll be big.

My web site is The Political Graveyard -- politicalgraveyard.com -- a database of U.S. political history and cemeteries (i.e., where dead politicians are buried).

I opened the site in July 1996, got a bunch of awards and media attention, and the traffic has been building ever since. I have been getting 4,000 to 5,000 uniques per day for some time now. During year 2000, I had a total of 1.46 million visits (unique IPs per day), and about 8.4 million file hits for the year. Traffic in 2001 is running about 30% higher than in the same months of 2000.

I started running banner ads on the site in February 1999. Ad revenue, mainly from ValueClick, started at $72/month, peaked at about $165/month in early 2000, and is now down in the vicinity of $60/month.

Over the last few months, I was in the process of switching over to Amazing Media, which, given my traffic/CTR patterns, would have paid significantly more than ValueClick. But then AM cut their rates in half retroactively, and began paying months late (I have still not received any of the money they owe me).

The last straw was when Amazing Media started running ads for casinos -- NOT acceptable with my audience. I wrote to them and asked if it would be possible to block the gambling ads, even if the alternative were nonpaying ads, and they said "no".

So much for Amazing Media, and probably so much for any notion of making more than a trivial amount money from the web site.

Hello KP.

This is a borderline lounge question, no?

Anyway, I am happy to say that I am doing better than ever before http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif Of course I would be doing even better were it not for the dot com crash.

I concentrate on selling my own stuff, and per-sale affiliate programs, with some leads programs mixed in.

The only CPC program that I still use is Searchtraffic + AllClicks.

My original money making site is wildcomputer.com which I haven't updated for an ages

My active money making sites are on a whole bunch of different topics:
- Various biz sites on marketing, webmastering, etc., about 15 actives one, the newest of which is www.searchenginerocket.com (http://www.searchenginerocket.com)
- various consumer items/topics (birthdays, credit cards, dieting, jobs, sweepstakes, telephones)

Well I used to earn like $1000 - $2000 / month with CheatGuide.com (had about 30k pageviews / day). Now I've done my military service (10 months) and I haven't updated the site for a long time so I don't get many visitors at all.

My other site FunFiles.net still got some visitors but I am considering a whole new layout of that site, tell me what you think!

I've also got some other small projects going on, like:

* EmulatorLinks.com - a linkarchive to emulatorsites, got some visitors but don't know what advertising I can put on it?!

* PS2Gamers.com - Pretty nifty domain, huh? Don't really know what to put up there, maybe something like the EmulatorLinks but for PlayStation2, any suggestions?

* Anzwer.com - Pretty cool domain too! http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif Don't really know what to do with that either.

and my newest project: WriteToACeleb.com - a celebrity address archive... any suggestions on what kind of advertising I can put up there?

http://www.world-of-nintendo.com/ http://www.nintendocc.com/

In the first half of 2000 my first two sites were making around $10,000 a month, until NASDAC crashed. That knocked it down to around $5,000 a month.

http://www.world-of-video-games.com/ http://www.nintendo-library.com/

Now combining all of my sites, I'm making around $1,500-$2,000 a month.

I didn't quite understand what you are trying to ask!

I am receiving around 1500 unique's daily. Generating around 10 to 15k in pageviews. It dropped dramatically since I stopped updating due to database restructuring.

In around june, i'll be racking in 100,000 a month from my snooply program. It's going to be huge, i've got a business plan all sorted out http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

At one time we were making $5 to $45 a day on banner ads. Now we are making about $120 a month.

CJ has been good to us, making about $50 a month off them.

Can't use Allclicks or Bulkclicks. Probably not Popuptraffic either as they don't like our traffic because it is incentivized.

Clickbank and Propay have been good to us as we use them our for users to buy hits to their web sites.

Pageviews have been a little down lately but we have more competition now in the Click Exchange market.

Averaging several hundred a month selling advertising space and other things.

We are doing good but would be much better if the ad market was better.

www.rpgdot.com (http://www.rpgdot.com)

Receiving about 1k uniques a day, it now generates a whopping 10$ a month from SI programs. This is about the only source of income I have now. Before our (european) ad network filed for bancruptcy, we made about 200$ a month from this site. Every single ad network we applied has rejected us (150k pageviews, content intesive), except for valuead - but we didn't make any results with them (their ads weren't appropriate for our site(s)). We have some sponsors we are doing sweepstakes with, but generally we are losing quite some money now with this site. Still it's great fun, so we won't stop doing what we do.
www.rpgfool.com (http://www.rpgfool.com)

Our BBS site. Not too much traffic there. Little to no income.
www.rpgsites.com (http://www.rpgsites.com)

Our free hosting service for RPG related sites. A big money burner, but a moral obligation for us to keep it running.
www.blinkingdot.com (http://www.blinkingdot.com)

Portal to our sites. Gets a decent amount of hits, doesn't make much money at all.

Another domain of mine is still parked, www.speedfolio.com (http://www.speedfolio.com) - it was a domain name for a financial service we tested worldwide (and which won), but the project died since we lost the pitch for the client. I thought about selling it, but I am not sure what to do with it for now.

That's about it.
