Site gets 90 visits a day. i will provide verification of the traffic upon request.
the contents is from dmoz.org
currently the site is not making any money.
looking to get $1000 for it

How is it updated?

You could always put it up for bid on eBay also.

I wouldn't do that... anything on eBay I think most people don't take seriously because there is so much junk for sale there.

I'm interested, yet I don't see how it's worth $1,000.

I agree with browsehosts: interested but 1000$ is a bit much for a site making 0$ and having no content.
that is the same question from 3 person now

ok, i will let it go for $600 but you must move the site yourself.

may I ask how much you purchased this site for?
Also, is it legal to take Dmoz's directory as you have done?
01-07-2004, 03:25 PM
Yes there is a lot of junk on eBay with websites but if you start a post here and get bidders the market would decide the price.
01-07-2004, 03:39 PM
yes, it is legal to take Dmoz's directory the way the site did. i can't give out information on how much i paid for the site.

Be careful on this one guys, I just tried to email the domain name contact for this one and the email bounced.
With that being said, I have a few questions for the owner of this site:
1. You indicated that the site gets 90 visits per day, can you show me
some stats for this traffic?
2. Where does the traffic originate from? Is it search engines or
links on other sites?
3. How easy is it to update the links to Dmoz.org on the site, is done
automatically or manually?
4. What cgi script does this site use?

sorry about the email. my server has been having trouble with the email for sometime now. i tried changing it member control panel but it said that the new email address is unexceptable.
i can show do a snapshot of webalizer screen but after a long thought i've decided to keep the website. please close this thread.

Best of luck with the site.

don't you just love how about 50% of the people here who claim they are selling their site were really just wasting everyone else's time and don't end up selling it?
01-08-2004, 07:52 AM
WOW.... if this many people are interested in my site, maybe I shouldn't sell it!
