Question ExpoActive - any experiences?

A new player honing in on the contextual market, ExpoActive has been doing the rounds and making email solicitations to a number of publishers lately. I've received two such invitations, both claiming an interest in particular URLs and offering $1.25 per click for activity generated on those pages.

The few blog posts that I've seen about the service strangely suggest that publishers must place three ad units on a page, but that only one of the three ads features tracking features. The suggestion has therefore been that only a small percentage of all clicks are properly tracked and credited.

Have any Geek/Talk members yet considered or actually used ExpoActive? If so, are they worth a look or will they remain also-ran players in this wildly competitive space?

I'm surprised at the lengths they've managed to go to find one deep-linked page on my site which is perfectly suited to one of their advertisers' products.

They emailed offering me a similar high CPC rate, and I've experienced a decent CTR.

Their ad unit contains 3 Google-like link/descriptions, one of which being the targeted ad that you receive the CPC for. This doesn't seem to be a problem since the first ad you receive click-credit for is bound to be the one your visitors are interested in.

Since I've only been running them for 2 weeks, I can't speak for their payment credibility yet.

Default Those people are not nice!!

Hi,
ExpoActive sent me also mails to put their text links on few pages on my site.

They announced .20cts CPC for the targeted
site and .25 for expoactive links.

After 15 clicks, they dropped it to 0.03cts,
I mailed, they rose it again, and after 10 clicks down to 0.0cts!!.
At least they send you an email to tell you,
wich is rather nice , but stinks anyway : )

I malied 3 times to see what was happening, no answer at all, the 5$ I earned they will keep them. If they do that with 10.000 sites, is a good way of having money for free

Just my experience
Cheers averybody for this site!!
Daniel

Yeah, these guys have been spamming my inbox as well.

Any more info or payment confirmation?

I don't normally do any business with someone when they spam, but have a couple decent offers for different sites.

Just an update from my previous post: I have received payment in full from ExpoActive in the mail.

They have since lowered my CPC, but not too much. And they did email me to notify me of the lowered CPC as well.

Ive gotten a couple of emails from them this past week, one offering $0.60 per click and another for $0.75 per click. I came to geekvillage to see what others have said about them and it looks like its the same for everyone, lots of spam, very little experience with them.
