Hello,
Standard Internet will be launching a high dollar CPA/CPC affiliate program shortly in partnership with few national companies (national in the USA). We plan on jointly releasing the program on both Commission Junction (as a flat CPA)and SI's in house software (probably as CPC keyed to sales). Commissions and terms will be the same for both. As it stands now this will be the highest paying program on CJ. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif The program is targetted to surfers who live in the USA. We will be beta testing at full commission soon. If you have USA traffic and you'd like to be a tester please send me an email to "beta@standardinternet.com" with your personal info, site url, site traffic, and any other info you'd like to include. The beta will roll out very slowly, please be patient. We have received great feedback from GeekVillage users in the past and they have helped shape both ClickThruTraffic and TextLinks.com. Your input and opinions are invaluable to us and we hope to provide you with another productive revenue stream for your websites. (edited for spelling and to remove goofy sounding remarks.) Congratulations Robert
I don't want to jump the gun but I'm sure a lot of people who concentrate on CPA programs, would be curous as to the type of product. For CPA affiliates, it makes a big difference whether it's casinos or credit cards or merchant acs or webhosting or ...whatever. Is there any info that you can publically disclose on this? ------------------ Sunil Tanna

Hey Sunil,
I'd rather not right now. It's a physical consumer good everyone replaces periodically and our offer to the buyer will be unbeatable. And I mean totally unbeatable by anyone from Amazon.com to Buy.com. We will have the best offer by far. When we tested on ClickHereToFind and PopUpTraffic we were doing 40 to 45 sales a day @ $40.00/sale off of a 200x200 button. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif No casinos, or anything else unwanted. |

Admin review. WARNING! Please comply with Item 5 of our Poisting Guide. See the link at the top and bottom of every page and our post form.
Robert, I'd love to beta test, but I've got one problem that still is bothering me. I've heard numerous complaints about peoples' accounts being marked as CHEATING and then not being paid - WITHOUT BEING CONTACTED. I'd say, fine, that's hearsay - but about 3 days ago a good friend of mine told me it happened to him. I went and checked it out and it was all true. His account had been marked as cheated over 2-3 weeks ago because he had an adult advertisement on his site, and he was NEVER TOLD that he wasn't gonna be paid anymore. But SI continued to leech traffic from him, to his unknowing. I'd say FINE again - but the person on tech support LAUGHED AT HIM. That is extremely unprofessional. Please let me know what is the deal with this. Jon Prywes [This message has been edited by Steve_S (edited 06-14-2001).] |

I thought Amway's prices were inflated due to the MLM commissions that they have to pay out. (I haven't seen the movie GO, but I have read some articles about MLM.)

JohnPKibble: Your friend may want to consider posting a complaint (following the procedure outlined in Item 5 of the posting rules) on this board. SI responds to all complaints posted in this fashion, as far as I know. Some people who had their accounts mistakenly flagged as cheater with SI have been able to get the issue cleared up on this board.

It's not Amway or anything else like that.
It's a plain old consumer good that you all have right now anyway. We got about 50 beta test emails in and that's going to be enough for now. You should be contacted in the upcoming weeks. Thanks again for your interest and we'll look forward to using your feedback to make our first CPA program a good one. |

Once they have you flagged they don't answer emails..period...your friend at least got one.
Tried 4 or 5 times and nothing. To me communication is a lot better than money. If there is no communication it's very unlikely they will be any money either. I have no respect for those type of people or do business with. But it just me and my personal opinion. |

SI does not communicate with fraudulent affiliates (please note the word "fraudulent".
We have no respect for people that attempt to steal from our company. This has been discussed about 100 times on this forum. We have always taken this stance, we always will take this stance. Before you reply telling me how stupid SI is why not take a few seconds and search this forum where this ground has been covered many times before (and note how many of the loudest complainers are still around...) We do not coddle cheaters, and we are one of the very few remaing successful CPC ad networks. We make our policy very clear. If you do not agree with it, do not participate in our programs. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif Luci...you're posting anonymously. There is a posted procedure for filing complaints against afiliate programs. Please follow the proper procedure and I will respond in kind. I was with Search Traffic for a couple of years I think.
My check was late, I asked if I did anything wrong to please let me know. Nothing but kepted my money..I wonder if ST returned the money they made from my fraudulent click throughs. Besides everything I said here I also mentioned on the emails if anyone bothered to read them. What I think of ST? If you have lots of time to park yourself at ST board and make lots of changes to your code, that is the place to go and you will be paid. If not, please move on because as soon as you missed something, you be will flagged and you will not be told while ST keeps on taking your money, but you won't get paid. |

Luci,
SearchTraffic hasn't been open for a couple of years. Perhaps your memory is cloudy? http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif If you'd like to stop posting anonymously and follow the posted complaint procedures I'll be happy to look up your account information and respond in the proper manner. Perhaps a mistake was made on our part and this is the chance to rectify it. |

Admin review. Abuse procedures invoked. Locking thread
Gee Robert, I used it until Xmas 2000. The banner did say Search Traffic until the middle of the summer. When I went to check my stats your banner said "Search Traffic" I must of really been lost in cyberspace. But no thanks Robert..thanks for trying but I too moved on.
