New Middle-Eastern Ad Agency - geek/talk: Signature-free discourse for serious web publishers

Hi all,

I've just completed a review of a new ad agency based in the Middle East, but am seeking further information or opinions from any who have experience with the company Cyber Gear LLC or their program:

Their network is powered by DART, and accepts publishers from all over the world, with an emphasis on Middle East and European properties (a big plus for those who are excluded from the better-known American networks). The main factor that's detracting me from using them myself to gain an inner-view of the network is their $100 annual membership fee.

Anyway, any thoughts and/or reports of experience would be much appreciated.

When I come to think about it, charging an annual fee of $100 makes logical sense to me. Think about it, ad networks can pay the full advertising rate if they charge an annual fee. The ad network can make their income off that fee and we can make our income off the full advertising rate. It all makes sense, and in the longer run we would be making more!

The problem is that most affiliates can not afford that up front fee. Some may be, but then they say to themselves, "why am I going to pay when I can sign up free somewhere else?"

I understand the idea, I like it to, but I won't ever go fourth with it. This network looks good otherwise.

They should break it up into two $50 automatic installments or four $25 automatic installments (quarterly).
