Say Goodbye to PennyWeb Standard - geek/talk: Signature-free discourse for serious web publishers

The PennyWeb Standard program (for small sites) is being discontinued.

I'm not sure whether or not their Premium program is surviving in its place, as I was not a premium member (joined years ago on a sub-domain account).

Please find following a copy of the email I received in which the change was announced:

Dear Pennyweb Standard Account Host,

We would like to inform you that the Pennyweb Standard program is being discontinued and that the banner ad(s) currently running on your website will all expire on April 30th, 2001. Please, remove the click-through code(s) from your page(s) as clicks will no longer be registered and credited to your account after Monday's cut off date.

As usual, payment covering your traffic activity will be issued in accordance to the regular Pennyweb Standard Host Account Terms and Conditions and will be mailed out by May 15th.

We would like to thank you again for your continuous participation.

BTW - my site is Hosted in the us and directed toward English speacking Audiance - but i will need the $$$ to be sent to israel where my bank acount is.

Adbility also still says that AdScholar has gone bankrupt, when we know that's not the case.

As I said above, it seems that only Pennyweb Standard is closed. Pennyweb premium has not shuttered, and thus the company is not defunct, as Adbility suggests.

Some ad network reviewers actually contact the brokers in question before spreading inaccurate rumors like this... http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif
