That article is hogwash. Banners are virtually dead, run of network ads are worthless. Get over it.

Look at the banners on that article's page. They are free exchange links!

Virtually dead? Do you know what percentage of the net is (still) surviving on banner advertising now? But of course, you are entitled to your opinions, period.

A_Webmaster, there are plenty of threads within this forum that would dispute your claims. Admittedly, the drop in run-of-network banner rates is justified to a large extent, but they are certainly not worthless.

There's nothing free about them from BCentral's POV. Microsoft collects revenue on the 50% of these ads that aren't used for exchange purposes (and probably 100% on their own properties).
