New Chat Room Evaluation - geek/talk: Signature-free discourse for serious web publishers

Can somebody please check out my new chat room and tell me what you think about it. I tried my best to make it somewhat like yahoo but not too alike.

Also can you please check if it works in IE 5 or lower . It seam to work in Netscape but not my IE.

I'm not much for chat rooms, but I thought I'd check yours out since no one replied to your post.

I was connected at 50K, and it took about three minutes to connect to the site. Once I got into the chat chat area I clicked on the rooms button, and the whole browser window went berzerk, I had to close it to exit.

FWIW, I was using NN 4.5. I'm not sure what "normal" is, but I personally have found many java based chat rooms to have issues such as the ones you are having. Also the Java applet for the scrolling text is probably not helping the overall performance of the page.

Well, thanks for the reply anyway but I don't really care about that chat room anymore. That idea has gone out the roof, now I'm starting a new project making a clip art web site.
