I have been heavily involved in the development of my company's E-Commerce site. Unfortunately, the site was done in ASP and no-one at the company knows ASP. Essentially when I want to make a change to the site, I have to call outside to get it down. I want to learn how to do it myself!!!!
I'm new at this technology game and want to learn ASP, Visual Basic and Visual C++. I am interested in 1) on-line classes geared towards the beginner. I'd like to learn ASP first 2) Books to teach myself (if that is even a recommended option) Please respond to this e-mail. I'm really quite desperate!!!!!! |

WROX have some pretty good books on ASP. They have some really nice new editions out soon as well - they just sent me some review copies.
If you know C++ language, Jeff Prosise is the best first book on MFC, and check WROX series for books on ATL. ------------------

fatso (How in the world did you come up with that handle!)
Glad you decided to stop by. Posts like this are usually found at the webmasters forum, as this is the usually geek talk we engage in! In any event, you found WildComputer who is the resident ASP geek. There's some self study courses on ASP on zdu.com you may want to check out. Very simplistic but it's a start. ZDU appears to be expanding so there may be more there in the future. Thanks for stopping by, stop back again! Regards, Questy |
