Unhappy Pay PER LEAD/ACTION programs.

Hi folks, Im looking for some GOOD pay per lead programs that do actually pay and are easy to use. I use at moment:

e-Bay, Bizland, Everyone.net

Anyone else got any good ones. I know there are loads at $1 but any above $1???

The major networks for pay-per-lead/sale type programs are Commission Junction, LinkShare, and BeFree. They have hundreds of different merchants each, so you can search for specific ones that are relevant to your content. And relevance is *very* important with these types of programs. Even a low per-transaction rate can ultimately add up to more money than a high per-transaction rate if you get better response/conversions from the lower one.

Well, I would suggest looking at the lesser known lead program aggregators. Why? They have some different offers, and there is more of a possibility to get second tier commissions.

How about Cyberbounty, Sponsorships, onResponse, DirectLeads? Have you tried any of them?

Oh, and I'd shy away from Linkshare, its too easy for merchants to leave you in the lurch....

I agree with Doc on Linkshare. While they certainly do offer a lot of programs, one fault of theirs is that the merchants will send the money over to Linkshare after the banners have already run on your site. This means that if a merchant decides that they don't want to pay there is then nothing that you can do. We have been very fond of Linkshare and they have never hurt us financially but this should be a major concern to webmasters and it's a shame that this is Linkshare's policy. Two other downsides to Linkshare is they don't report stats in real time (it's usually sometime the next morning) and you don't get all of your merchant commissions in one check. When its time for a merchant to pay, you will then get your money. If you are signed up with a number of merchants you then have to wait for the individual checks, which can be quite a pain if you are trying to track the merchants that owe you money. We have found that Commission Junction (CJ) runs quite well. While our only complaint has been communication (they don't respond quick to emails), they resolve a lot of the problems that I mentioned about Linkshare. They collect their money up front from the merchants, they pay in one check (or direct deposit if you choose) and they report stats in real time. Real time stat reporting is actually quite a downside for many of the other programs mentioned in this thread. Programs such as Direct Leads and others report some of their merchants in real time but then will report others weekly or even monthly. That is really quite a long time to wait to see if an ad banner is working! Right now my recommendation would be on CJ. And since you are looking for just pay per lead campaigns you are in luck because with the Advanced Generator option on their site you can search just the pay per lead programs.
