[Searchbucks]

We have closed the Searchbucks program to new webmasters for now, but will be opening it back up on January 1st.

We do plan on closing it from time to time so that we can spend more time with existing affiliates to help them maximize traffic and revenues with our program.

Many companies get into trouble by growing too quickly. We will not make that mistake. The program has grown much faster than we anticipated (thanks to all of you), so we are currently spending time hiring additional staff, expanding our technical platform, etc. Our goal is to continue offering great customer service and on-time payouts as our affiliate base grows.

BTW - You will continue to see our banners fly at Geekvillage even when the program is closed. Just our way of supporting this great forum.

You should have gotten that check if you live in the states. They're mailed 5 business days after the end of the period(Dec 1). I'm sure the bad weather lately has put a dampen on postal service.

According to their terms they don't pay webmasters who live in South Korea - perhaps this is why you haven't received payment yet?

Unless of course you worked out a deal with them personally.

Ken - it's a pleasure to see smart business moves like you are making. Yes, it's frustrating to those webmasters who want to get in on a good thing but if SearchBucks makes the right business moves then they will get their chance again. Certainly Internet companies have made some horrible mistakes when it comes to growth and SearchBucks looks like its heading in the right direction. Visitors to our site actively use SearchBucks and we were very impressed to receive our first check only a few days after joining the program. We wish you continued success.

Again, I want to thank everyone for the good words and support. For those of you who are not in our program, we look forward to working with you when we re-open in January.

All checks for last period were sent out no later than December 5th. The Holiday season is slowing the mail down a bit, but everyone who lives outside of the US should be getting their checks soon.

And YES! We will still be offering the .10 per search for the first 1000 searches when we re-open the program in January!

Great! I'll sign up as soon as the program is available again. I guess I'll use a mix of SearchBucks and SearchTraffic searchboxes and see what works best for my site.
