P.S.-If anyone wants an 88*31 button link, send them to me via e-mail along with the exact URL you want the button to point to. Thanks [This message has been edited by Ghiech (edited 09-14-99).] |

Ghiech,
First impression was a very clean looking site, however, there were quite a few broken links. As I am now looking at the home page there is an empty space where it appears a banner should go, clicking on the cgi, clip art links items on the side menu produces a "File does not exist" in the main frame, clicking on the software and make money links produced a "File does not exist" message in the left side frame. I would question the two counters at the bottom of the page, IMHO, multiple counters tend to "cheapen" a site, and even in my experiences the free counters, even the best of them, bog down your site from time to time. Overall a very clean looking site with nice visual appeal. The fact that the front door has frames, java script and a java applet stretches the limits of browser friendliness, although you do pull it off quite well.(As well as I guess you could argue that most of your visitors would have the latest and greatest browsers?) Thanks for the welcome, and the review. I think I will remove the 'visible' counters, I do however like to know how many people have come and gone though so I'll probably incorporate an invisible counter hosted "locally". As for the dead links, I'm getting to em', the last of the pages are taking forever though.
Thanks again! Ghiech |

Good luck on what looks to be a pretty nice site.
RE: I do however like to know how many people have come and gone though so I'll probably incorporate an invisible counter hosted "locally". Sounds like the way to go! Free counters have always come back to haunt me! and a counter alone isn't much without being able to "see" who is visiting you. You could always tell us what "local" tracking script you decide on, and why! Regards, Questy |
