I have been reading and looking around, but CPM most sites indicate I must have 5000+ or 10000+ hits per month. Right now the site has been up for a couple of months am I am averaging 50+ hits a day. Roughly around 1500 hits a month or so.
So what are my choices to make the $$$ ? TIA http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif Louie |

Here's what I did on one of my pages when Yahoo dropped me (My traffic went down from >1000 to <100 unique visitors, mostly from other search engines). I announced that the site had been closed and linked to a relevant category on about.com, instructing the visitors to go there. About 70% do. This is slightly more ethical than just using a blind link, and at least covers my server costs for all of my sites.
Whether this is an option for you is another question, but quite frankly, with 1500 unique visitors per month, there are no real alternatives. In my experience, unless you have a highly targeted audience, you cannot make any serious amount of money unless you get at least 1500 uniques a day, and still. |

until you get your traffic up I would shy away from cpc or cpm programs
try some pay per lead programs... There are lots out there that offer decent rates for sending people who sign up for free services.. it really all depends on your site content...if you can tell us a little more about it, I'm sure we could offer more help.. |

I agree that right now you should focus more on building your site. Adding content and features will get you repeat visitors.
Submit your site to search engines (even though it takes a while to show up), get listed on yahoo if you can, and maybe use some sort of link exchange program (this will get you a FEW hits) and try to build traffic. Before you know it, you will be getting mega hits. Has your site been up for very long, or is it new? If you are new, you should focus more on getting listed, getting hits, getting repeat visits, then worry about making money. Hello Everyone
MY SITE: http://www.northerntouch.cjb.net Its an Audi / Volkswagen Club for Canada & the Northern States. We have just started and its only a couple months old. We already have regurlar ppl coming back every so often to check up whats new. Its probably nothing compaired to what you guys have made, or are doing, but Im a rookie! http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif Things we will include are: Member pages (which ppl can link to in their cars, especially in forums like this) Daily updates / news. Galleries Im also open to suggestions if you have any. Im not sure how to register in search engines, but I will read up on that too. Please send links or anything that would help me. We are on most of the North American Audi / Vw club websites. Our tags are plastered everywhere on these kinda forums. I also tried www.allclicks.com and it WAS updating in real time, but now I cant get any clicks. Im stuck at 36 clicks. Why is that? |

depending on your site topic, try affiliate programs targetted to your site's audience, like amazon.com, express.com affiliations

re: Allclicks.
When you said: I also tried www.allclicks.com and it WAS updating in real time, but now I cant get any clicks. Im stuck at 36 clicks. Why is that? It makes it sounds as though you were clicking on your own links which is not allowed. If I have misunderstood then don't worry, a lot of people have been using Allclicks for a long time (a long time around here is 12 months) and they are reliable. One note of caution, using Allclicks links wont help your visitor loyalty so use them sparingly. I will answer for singloon :-)
Hope you do not mind. Affiliate programs means that you sell products (books, CDs, software ...) on behalf of a company. For instance you can sell books for amazon. Each time you do you earn a percentage of the sale. Of course you need to subscribe to their affiliate program. Then you'll get special code to link to their product. ------------------ www.pics4fun.com : a huge collection of funny pictures, cartoons and comics. www.cartoons4fun.com : funny cartoons based on humor puns. www.humorandfun.com : increase traffic to your humor site. |

To find several offers appropriate to your site, you might sign up for ClickXchange. There are a lot of repackaged offers there.
You might consider a top get paid to surf program to join and to refer your visitors to. To get more visitors, try a visitor exchange program such as I Love Clicks. Your site has a targeted audience, and with good links you should be able to make decent money. http://s-mall.freeyellow.com/page2.html |
