Was just wondering if anyone has any links to some other good discussion forums like this. I haven't been able to find any. I've devoured the info you guys have posted for like the last 3 months. LOL. Great great board here.

A "sig" is encouraged but not required. Providing it complies with our rules, is short, and appropriate.

We all want you to network along with learning stuff. What better way than a "sig". Kinda like handing a person your business card when you talk in that other world aka brick-and-mortar.

Please trust me, a lot of folks look at your "sig" who never post http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif This sometimes leads to great contacts and reationships from people you never see on our BB.

Practice your "sig" in our Help Forum and please don't forget that little check box that enables it in your post form.

Hey Steve,

Thanks for the clarification. I can't help but to agree with you, it just seemed odd that it was a "rule". If I may make a suggestion, there is simple little mod that you can make to the UBB scripts, I forget which one it is - it's been a while since I've hacked one, postings.cgi probably - but you can add "checked" to the html formatting for the message posting screens that makes the sig boxes checked by default.

If you're going to encourage everyone to use a sig, this might be a good service to provide your users http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif. Not to mention the fact that I'm a lazy-****... http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif
