Does anybody know if CDNow has an affiliate program and, if so, where to sign up for it. We are looking to add it to one of our site but I can't readily find the signup page on the site nor can I find the program in any of the larger programs like Linkshare, CJ or Be Free.
Thanks, Pete |

Petezippy,
I currently use this program. It is under a program called Bach Systems (http://www.bachsys.com). Look under heading Music Mania. It is a per lead program and has nice looking banners. They pay $1.75 per unique email address (not bad!). I like the other programs under Bach Systems, however, I am waiting to see the first statistics on it. They are not in real time due to the mechanics of the per lead process. They have assured me they will be posted soon. |

Actually, The Music Mania program you are talking about is a cosponsored sweepstakes between CD-Now and DeliverE. It's not the same as the cd-now affiliate program - which presumably pays % of sales. The deliverE sweeps pay $1.70 per unique registration EVER - and they've been around for a while... so expect relatively low conversion rates. arn |

CDNOW runs their own affiliate program--it's not outsourced. The Cosmic Credit program one of the oldest and largest on the net. (They had more than 210,000 affiliates when I interviewed them for "The Complete Guide to Associate and Affiliate Programs on the Net" back in May.)
Their commission schedule is pretty good--and it's based on a sliding scale. The more you sell, the higher the commissions. (Music tends to to have tighter margins than other products.) ------------------ --> http://geekbooks.com |
