teknosurf websites - geek/talk: Signature-free discourse for serious web publishers

Hi. I have a question that maybe Mr. Ferber or someone else can answer. I do realize that Teknosurf has some very specific criteria for accepting websites. I recently applied for a website, but was turned down. The website was educational (ancient rome) and received around 135 visitors per day. There was nothing illegal at all about it. So was it the subject of the website that did it in? Also, what are Teknosurf's policies of accepting websites of REALLY popular topics such as, well, making money on the internet?

They are apparently very fussy about sites to accept. I had an e-mail from them once (I might still have it, I tend to save old e-mail if I think it might be useful), that explained how they select. Basically IIRC it was on the basis of what sites their advertisers wanted. This seems reasonable and more sustainable than many others I could mention.

Lot's of people have been refused by Tekno - so don't take it personally. I don't believe it's a judgement on you.

Try their affiliatewave they pay 10 cents a click and they have various other programs which pay per sign-up, sale, etc. They accept I think it was around 90% of websites. http://www.very-cool-stuff.com/ubb/smile.gif Or try dataCOM they pay for me 15-17.5 cents a click, with CPM banners of 50 cents. It's funny though all the good ones that get clicked are the PPC the CPM never get clicked, weird. http://www.very-cool-stuff.com/ubb/smile.gif
