Default My pages are getting indexed in Google but......

My pages are getting indexed in Google but then I'm getting a page not found page. When I do a google search for my keyword I see the page title on the first page of google and when I click on it I get a 'page not found' page. I noticed that the url in google search results has a .php extension where as my page has an .html extension. I've noticed that only my home page has a .php extension and the rest of my pages have the .html extension. I've tried to resave the filename as a .php file but it just doesn't work. How can google index the pages but not give the correct redirect? The google search result url goes something like this: www.mydomainname.com/secondpage.php. That is what it looks like in a google results page. The actual file name would be secondpage.html. What am I doing wrong?

This maybe due to having static and dynamic pages on your site. Select one format and stay away from the duplicate page ones.

Maybe some temporary server issues also had roles.

That's a bit weird. In all the forums that I have participated in, this is the first time I read something like your problem. Have you tried contacting Google?
