Unhappy It has been Launched (Site Review Please)

Allright guys we just launched our new version of the DBZN (Anime Webpage). We reworked the entire layout and modified the html greatly... I want you geeks to rate the site on a couple of things including site design, html efficiency, and anything else you think might be important.

Since the last time I asked for a site review (for an older design), I made the following changes, much of which is because of the review(s) given by Geek/Talk members:

1)HTML, instead of using many font tags to make every paragraph Arial and size two we used css...

2)Entire, layout reworked to reduce file size. Before the index page including the html file was about 80 K (monstrous), it is currently around 40K. This should help reduce bandwidth.

3)Modified <meta> tags for keywords and such since the last review for maximum search engine exposure...

Well, those are the big changes. Thanks guys for pointing at the flaws in my last design/version of the site... Hopefully you guys can point out some more!

Oh yeah here is the site: http://www.dbzn.net

Few notes I made while watching the page:

1. You have a horizontal scroll bar at 800x600 resolution, since you use fixed table width, dropping it by about 20 will fix it.

2. You have used 3 (!) different link colors, some are underlined and some are not (at the top).

3. You've used both Arial/Verdana (?) and Times New Roman as your fonts -- the right bar, which contains pictures and links to Amazon.com uses Times.

4. As I checked the Anime Reviews page, I noticed that you've used underline on one word, "watch" to be exact. I personally confused it to a link, but it turned out that it wasn't. I highly suggest using bold or some other kind of emphasis than underline. (Sorry, I had to mention this http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif)

5. Unfortunately in today's world, the meta tags are loosing their meaning -- today's word is content, which you do certainly have, but it's pushed all the way to the bottom. The ideal situation would try to get the actual content as top as possible in the HTML source.

That's it. Another thing I would like to say is that it worked with Netscape 4.6 too, bonus for that http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif The loading time was bearable too.

And the equipment: 1024x768/32, IE5/NS4.6, 64k ISDN (Finland).

Hello, I was testing the the site in several resolutions which includes 1024X768, 800X600, and 640X480. In my 800X600 tests there were no horizonal scroll bars other then for Netscape 6.0. About how many people use this browser?

While testing I included Netscape 4.08 (not 4.6, downloading that now), IE 5.5, and Netscape 6.0... I noticed that Netscape is not displaying the fonts correctly. Unfortunately I rushed to meet my own deadline and over looked some very important things.

Hopefully, I will get some of these issues resolved quickly...
