Default Australian ad network?

Looking for an upper level or Tier 1 ad network serving Australia/New Zealand specializing in well-known brand advertisers and not spammer RON ads. Mainly looking for targeted sponsorship opportunities. Perhaps something along the lines of AdLink.

Anything like this exist?

Absolutely.

SensisMediaSmart is the place to go in reaching some of the big branded properties. The network is operated by a subsidiary of Telstra, which is a multi-billion dollar Aussie telco, so they've done a good job of attracting some pretty attractive properties to their portfolio.

Apart from that, you can pay a visit to seven.com.au, ninemsn.com.au, zdnet.com.au, news.com.au and f2network.com.au to see what those major local media players can offer.

HTH.

Czar, thank you very much! I just sent them an email. Hopefully they're accepting new publishers.

A lot of the tier ones and some of the tier twos also support Aussie campaigns. NZ is kinda hard, but you can definately find CPL and CPA campaigns for NZ.

True, but they're a pretty low-level network that doesn't seem to be adopted by bigger branded websites in Australia. ClixGalore and some of the other Aussie-centric affiliate networks might be okay as providers of remnant inventory for Jetronic's campaign, but to reach the major, branded websites, a CPM-based inventory buy is almost essential.

On that note, Google's ever-expanding reach has made it possible for advertisers to secure space on branded properties in Oz using their site-specific targeting mechanism. While my results weren't great, I ran a few test campaigns on major sites like SMH.com.au and other news publications a couple of weeks ago and received fairly reasonable placement through AdWords.

By the way, welcome to Geek/Talk, Dave989. You seem to be a well established web publisher, so this is definitely the community for you.

Well, at least the site is still operating

( i love these old posts - seeing which websites are still alive and how they have changed their program and adapted to change)

Yes, well Sensis has the backing of Telstra, which is a multi-billion-dollar half public and half government-owned telecommunications company, so they're pretty safe for now.

I don't know how well the ad network is doing, but it will definitely be around in one form or another for the foreseeable future.
