Allclicks content - geek/talk: Signature-free discourse for serious web publishers

(I know adult stuff is not allowed but this is not an issue for that sector but for many geekvillage members)

I thought it would be expedient to point out that clickheretofind (the destiantion for allclicks blind links) is featuring a link "Paris Hilton Video Here!" which leads to some kind of dialer.

Not entirely appropriate given that the portal is described to affiliates and potential affiliates only as a portal where "There is a search engineas [sic] well as loads of free offers and downloads." (from allcicks FAQ).

Allclicks being regarded as a mainstream program, are there no boundaries anymore?

I used to want to get into a banner network...but couldn't qualify. Now that I probably could qualify I have no desire to get into a banner network. From the sound of it too many of them aren't very discriminating about who they do business with. I don't want to get into the business of watching banner ads like a hawk because I'm paranoid they'll do a driveby download, or pop a Gator ad, or run a dialup script.

maddeningcrowds, have you tried AdSense? I haven't heard any complaints about suspicious ads with that program and I've had good results with it.

Yes i'm with fastclick, adsense & a pay per sale. I'm not having a go at anyone, but really, adult links on a mainstream portal, I just think its wrong.

Sad but true. I'm constantly getting adult links at Oversee's TargetWords search results as well.

I got adult results from searchfeed.com but they gave me a nice little extra piece of code to entirely ban adult content. Just ask the company in question. If enough people complain they will know what they can and can't do too, hopefully.
