Hello,
I have the following problem at my day job :-) : I want to read the content of a local windows NT4 Environment variable: USERNAME. This should be done from Internet Explorer. Then this data should be sent to a CGI script that runs on a Unix/Apache server for further processing. I guess it is not possible to do this with CGI script but it should be possible to do this via javascript as it runs on your local computer. Any idea ? Thanks. |
