Wow! Well, they couldn't have picked a better time to pick up cheap tech assets. These two acquisitions could do amazing things in keeping Overture from falling off a Google-dominated search map.

Now we'll just have to see whether the Over team can pull all of its assets together efficiently and effectively enough to stand a chance long-term.

do you think with Fast and AV that Overture can now go head to head with Google? Or still not enough traffic?

Combined, Fast and AV are just a little dent to google's domination.

But the AV name, FAST's technology, and OV's promotion skills might create a beast well worth it.

Google is my SE of choice, and it's been very good to me in terms of indexing my sites, however we'll all be better off if they have a worthy competitor. I hope the new AV/Overture/FAST combo can be that competitor. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
