Plug-In comparison shopping portals - geek/talk: Signature-free discourse for serious web publishers

Hi, I am interested in hearing of anyone having success with or recommending any plug-in comparison shopping sites such as www.smartshop.com . I was interested in smartshop but heard of one affiliate not being paid in this thread http://sitepointforums.com/showthrea...threadid=39016 and am curious to hear more feedback. I know of one member here that uses smartshop.

Actually, I'm interested in any plug-in shopping portal affiliate program really - not just comparison shopping. I really don't have any knowledge of this market - but I want something that I can set up quickly and easily and brand with my own brand (under a subdomain) so that when I have the time and it becomes worthwhile, I might investigate developing things more myself.

Look forward to hearing your advice, experience, knowledge.

P.S. I should point out that I am looking for a broad portal because it is for a site with a very broad (untargetted) audience.

Oh, come on! Some of you must be using these type of plug-in shopping portals!?

I have received one PM on the issue after this post - but I believe there must be others who can help me out here.

I have also been looking at ttasuperstores.com Anyone have any experience of these people?

Sorry mate, I did mean to reply to this way back when you posted it first.

Mainly just to tell you that the smartshop 'owner' was once a member here.

Going by Litmania's experience, it would certainly be unwise to even try THAT one.

Have you tried a google search? Surely if there were some reputable ones around, they would be listed high?

But now you have brought this to the top again, maybe those that were away in Thanksgiving week will see it and respond

Thanks for the link. I've actually read that thread before. It's interesting that ttasuperstores actually list the OP as their top performing affiliate on their site. Time to fire of an email to that poster for the good oil.
