Default I hope this is a joke, Steve!

Steve,

Am I hallucinating, or did I just see an ad on this site that says:

"Geek Talk and GV are for sale. Make me an offer I can't refuse."

Well it's not April Fools, so what's going on?

(Please tell me it's a joke? Please? Pretty please?)

Ah, Steve and his wacky sense of humor is left to send chills up our spines once again. I know my heart missed a beat when I logged on today, only to see that Hulk-ish green monster at the top of my screen.

It certainly seems more effective than "Advertise here!", and it will be interesting to see what sort of CTRs this little critter generates...

He's clever isn't he? That's about the fifth time this month he's confused me to the point of...well...confusion!

And speaking of this month, it's my first anniversary as a member of GV. Just wanted to say thanks to Steve, all the moderators and all the great GVers who've taught me so much and made me laugh! This is the best place I know to hang out on the net.

That one got me too.

I still liked the "Hey Professor Smart" one better.

lol Robert!

My favorite is "Hey memory challenged!" I could use more wetware memory...and that's what I thought it was referring to.

Thanks for the present, Czar! Virtual presents are pretty nice, too. (Is there a virtual cow in it? A virtual fridge?)

I tried to fold up a fridge for you, but the custom ice-maker made it too difficult to wrap, so I crammed a virtual inflatable bovine into the box instead.

I hope your lungs are strong. Those pixels are in dire need of a whole lotta wind, and there are only a few people I know who are up to the task (most of whom are in politics).

I must commend Steve on this one! I was another who clicked on the for sale ad. And the "Attention spam kings" was hilarious!

Thanks for the inflatable cow Czar! I think we have an electric inflator-thingummy around here somewhere. (Hmm. Basement? Attic? Garage? Shed? Car?) But you know, I *could* fill it with water instead and then leave it outdoors this Winter to freeze.

I wonder what Steve will dream up next. I think he's invented a new advertising genre...alarmist.
