We just found this jem which is 100% free and open source. Perl/CGI at it's very very very best. Did I say very http://www.very-cool-stuff.com/ubb/smile.gif

It grabs data from DMOZ and is very very fast. Your site appears to have all the data on your domain which of course is not true.

default install at:
http://www.geekvillage.com/cgi-bin/directory/pod.cgi

The script and such at:
http://www.grohol.com/downloads/pod/dmoz/

Tip: run the server test first to insure your domain has all the necessary moduales. It's about a 4 minute install. If you have any trouble let us know.

Does anyone know of any free hosts that I can test the dmoz script out on(preferabaly one that supports domain names)? I tried it on hypermart, but I kept on getting a 500 error. I don't know too much about Perl/CGI, so it could just be me.

It's probably you since if a script work somewhere it should works everywhere. Does the error mention anything about permission denied?? Or have you make sure that the directory path is right??

Never mind, I got it fixed. I uploaded my files as binary instead of ascii. No all the basics of my site is set up.
