a couple of days ago this started -- when I start up my computer (windows 98), a whole series of pop-up windows start spawning -- BEFORE I have even opened up a browser.
How can I find what has been planted on my system to cause this and how can I get rid of it? Anyone else experience this? I do use the Humanclick service, which starts up automatically, which does load a banner ad in it. Perhaps this is it.. Thanks! Amy Strycula |

What kind of windows? What do they say?
Go to Start > Run > msconfig and then click the Startup tab. Remove any unwanted programs. Be careful, though, some programs are needed to run Windows. Also, check your C:\WINDOWS\Startup folder. |
