Unhappy Interesting Thing..

I was visiting a site when it popped up a popup, nothing different except this one was 0x0, so all I saw was the title bar and the X:

-------------------
| Title Bar [X] |
-------------------

I don't get to see anything else, I wouldn't bind (because I closed it) but now whenever I right click and say: open in new window, it comes up like that.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks,

-Matt

Unhappy

I'm guessing at this.

First, make sure there's no mysterious process running - if you're in windows, the task manager can show you what's loaded. You may have a rogue.

Also, try using shift-click on any link on a page, which is the other way to open a new window. If it's zero-size, try finding it on the screen (tough, I know) and stretching it. Actually, this is one of those places where one of those annoying set-normal-to-max-screen-size links can help.

Also try opening multiple browser sessions from the menu. If any of the new sessions exhibit normal behavior, close the new sessions first and alst and the naughty one in the middle.

(I personally resize my scondary windows to match the size and position of my main window, just because of the way I work, and this kind of "grabbing" annoys me, too.)

If none of this works, it's probably a renegade registry entry. If you don't have a recent backup to restore, you may have to uninstall and reinstall your browser.
