Unhappy Popular free stuff site for sale.

Hey everyone,

After a lot of thinking i have decided to sell my Free Stuff site. Here are all the details you will need.

1. My name
Eitan Finkel

2. URL of site http://www.4freestuff.net

3. Age of site
8 months.

4. Approximate monthly page views and/or unique visitor

Around 12,000 page views per month on the main page.

5. How does site generate income? How much?

With an avarage amount of 300-500 p/views daily on the main page alone i earn between $400 - $500 per month. Sounds a little weird maybe i don't know but this is how it is. The ways i make money are mostly from the free offers i offer on my site that some of them come from affiliate programs like websponsors.com, cyberbounty.com, directleads.com etc..i also make money from banner ads but a lot less.

6. Who develops content and how much time does it require?
I'm the owner, webmaster, promotion guy, designer and everything else. I have put A LOT of effort in this site and still am. The content has to change constantly and stay fresh. The site has more than 60 categories, one of the larger free sites on the web. The site has earned its reputation with time and is very popular among free sites.

7. Reason for selling

When i made this site, the last thing i had in mind is to sell it later, because i've worked so hard on it. But now i am on a very busy period in my life and i don't have the time to keep developing the site and take care of it like i did so far, so after a lot of thinking i've decided i'll sell it.

8. Will you help with the transition of the site to the new owner?

Yes, i will help as much as i can in the domain and hosting transfers.

9. Does the site have an e-zine or newsletter? Number of subscribers?

Currently the newsletter is on hold because i don't have the time for it. But, i have 109 people that have registered my newsletter when i was promoting it. They are still registered.

10. The asking price for the site.

$5,000 - Yes this is the price.

If interested please post a message here, or contact me by icq (preferably) 52694960, or by email:
eitanfk@hotmail.com

Yours sincerely,

Eitan Finkel

P.S. - After the transition all the content, graphics and everything else is yours.

Well I'm not interested in buying your site but I have an idea for you. In the event that you aren't able to find a buyer for your site you should just find a webmaster to do the updates, add new sections... basically replace you. You could just pay them something like 90% of your monthly profits. I bet you're much more likely to find someone who's willing to replace you as the webmaster for $400 a month than find someone to give you $5000 cash for a site that you claim is making that much with that few page views.

Actually Guava,

He does make that. I know him in real life and is a good friend of mine, and he is no lyer. Also, I think all of us should try to put in our heads that there are extraordinary cases and that we not have to doubt every wierd post in the forum, but try to learn more about it before saying bad things about it like saying it claims to have bad revenue.

Hi Guava,

Like i said in my post, it may sound a little weird, but this is how it is. I can try and explain it too..

a site like mine is very profitable because a lot of offers come from sponsors. Also, people learned to trust my site with time, since i explore every offer manualy and i post all the fine print a offer has. So, my conversion rated are pretty high, something like 25% conversion rate from clicks to actual leads in avarage.
Another thing i always do is keeping the offers fresh and i try to mix between good offers that pay good money to quality offers for my visitors and that is a great combination.

If anyone wants a proof for my earnings you can talk to me via icq and i can show you pictures i've captured of my revenue from the last several months.
ICQ: 52694960

Yours sincerely,
Eitan Finkel

Glad to hear such good things about your revenue stream. I was making no claim that you were saying anything but the truth. I was merely stating that I personally wouldn't give you $5000 until I had seen some proof of profitability of your site.

One thing I suggest is that when you find a buyer you allow him to login to your affiliate accounts (CJ, ClickXChange, LinkShare... and whatever else) and let that person see for themselves the tracked revenue from your sponsors.

I know that's a big trust thing, maybe you could compromise with screenshots of inside the sponsor accounts? I don't know but personally I'd like to login myself. Maybe ask them for a $100 upfront before giving you give them the password info?

My thoughts.

Hi again,

I think that i can do something like that, i understand that it sounds a little weird, my revenue i mean, so i'm willing to do this, although it requires a lot of trust..just to prove.

If you're serious please contact me by icq and we will talk on ways to do this. You can get my icq number from one of my posts above http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

I want to talk about something else for a moment, the design. I prepared another template for the site, and if you want you can use it when purchasing the site.

Here's the example: http://www.4freestuff.net/index3.html

You can also use the original template of course, i just wanted to give the potential buyer a larger selection.

Best regards,
Eitan Finkel
