Is it still possible nowadays to be listed at Yahoo without paying the $200 fee ?

Any good experience recently ?

I believe there are still some areas that allow the free submission. It will take a long time for them to review your site though.

Nope... Yahoo directory is still working okay and quick. Last time I submitted a new URL it taked 1,5 months to be listed. The second time I made a request for category modification and it taked 2 weeks to proceed.

It is very doable but takes a little preparation.

If your not selling anything or have a personal site, it costs nothing to submit.

Another avenue is the regional listings.

I just submitted a new site 3 weeks ago. I'll sit back and relax till I get notifies. It's probably not reasonable to keep you informed, because this thread will never survive that long http://geekvillage.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

My tip would be to submit to one of the world Yahoos other than the main one because once your listed in one you will be added to the entire directory.
