Looking to start a large list, at least 5k-10,000 users. Whats the best solution out there in terms of speed and ease of use? Lyris.com? Postmastergeneral.com? Eagerly await anyones opinions.

I have been in the newsletter business for a while now and so far I think Lyris is the best solution out there. Most list hosting companies are actually useing Lyris to run there service. However, I don't think I would use Lyris directly. There outsourced solution will cost you $5 per thousand messages. If you go through Sparklist.com (which uses the Lyris software) you can get the same system for $1 per thousand messages.
I have used mail-list.com in the past and they have a pretty good service at a low price but I don't think they are as fast as Sparklist. I have heard some great things about postmastergeneral.com but I have never used them. ------------------ http://www.link-box.com http://www.bizbot.net http://www.perfectpresence.com |

Hey Singloon,
Go here and download the Power List from Solution Scripts. It is a simple script to run and you can paste your list to an online box and send them all all easy. You can have multiple lists too. One line of code and you can redirect them to a thank you page too. I used to use it for over a year without any problems. If you have the email names and message ready to go, it will take you fifteen minutes. http://solutionscripts.com/warehouse/index.shtml Cheers, Chazhound Winamps.Net 1000's of Free Desktop Enhancements http://www.Winamps.Net |

Hi Singoon,
Don't know about the syntex in the mail names you use. Perhaps this software will give you insite to the problem by identifing the delivery errors for you. It will also help manage your lists as the Power List script doesn't do alot of management funtions. The List Master Pro software will verify check your email addresses and remove duplicates before you mail it out on your Power List. List Master Pro by AnalogX. It is amazing software which really helps manage a mail list. (and its free!) http://www.analogx.com/contents/down...work/lmpro.htm Maybe some of the email experts can shine some light on why your mail cannot be received. The Power List just uses your own SMPT so it doesn't sound like the problem is in the script. Cheers, Chazhound 1000's of Desktop Enhancements http://www.Winamps.Net |
