Cool

:::I see my first "human visitor" from the archive hack to vB. A real surfer who actually used the Google listing to find the thread.

Now just try to think of what would happen if you had 18,000 Google listings just counting these boards!!! Now you know why all of this stuff is a good thing, a VERY good thing to do to get visitors!!!กกก!!! Google likes my message board. The freshbot has refused to let any of my boards get delisted. Got about 60 links compaired to under five before doing the session ID trick, and now it's just found my HTML version of the boards.

This session ID trick works!!!!!!!!!! Here's proff!!

The number of Google links to my vBulletin site went from 59 links to 1,870 links!!! And this is over 300 more than I saw the deepcrwal get!!!!!!

Now to see how many links the HTML version gets when it does the next deepcrawl, in about a week or so!!!

Cool

Who needs the Forum Archive hack when you can do the same thing with mod_rewrite, with out six extra files!!!!!

In the .htaccess file put

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^forumdisplay\-forumid\-(.*).html$ forumdisplay.php?forumid=$1
RewriteRule ^showthread\-threadid-(.*).html$ showthread.php?threadid=$1

and then change the thread and board links!!

<a href="forumdisplay.php?forumid=$forum[forumid]">
<a href="forumdisplay-forumid-$forum[forumid].html">

<a href="showthread.php?threadid=$thread[threadid]">
<a href="showthread-threadid-$thread[threadid].html">

With this I'm sure you can also add the session ID to the URL.

mod_rewrite ROCKS!!!!!
