Question How effective are free and paid traffic exchanges?

I have been promoting my site on traffic exchanges for some time but have seen no change. Are traffic exchanges an effective promotional tool?

Never go for such type of Traffic Exchange tool. Always prefer White hat SEO tools to get Organic traffic from Search Engines. You can also optimize Social Networking pages to get Direct traffic and to increase Link popularity.

Thanks for the replies. I think it is the consensus that traffic exchanges are ineffective tools for increasing website traffic.

Default Traffic generation

Any online program that generate traffic will not drive any business. May be it would be know or unknown. Some how they may send tons of clicks but in real they might not capitalize. Make a strategy to reach real business users use social networks to reach people with your branding. It would be really worth while in long run.

It depends on the websites you exchange links too. If they have good page rank than it will give good effect on your site.
