I guess you're talking about the sweepstakes that's just been introduced. I freaked out for a while myself but then realised that you can continue with pay-to-surf rather than the sweepstakes.

I had a hard time getting to my stats (had to 'agree to the TOS' again) I went to the trouble cause I have over 250 referrals (plus I got a check today) - but I don't imagine many of my referrals will bother http://geekvillage.com/ubb/frown.gif...it seems they're doing their best to lose business. Gee, wonder why they STILL haven't got their long promised Message Boards up and running. - I have a word or two for em http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif

hehehe, they can just go out and signup for a free message board... there are dozens of sites offering that service. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif

if u don't mind me ask, how much do u make a month with AllAdvantage? 250 referrals is impressive.

In my heyday I was making approx $150-$175(which was even nicer converted to Canadian loonies http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif ...but then all he!! broke loose. First, I received email that one of my referrals was cheating, so my check was delayed....now that the hours have been reduced, I'll be lucky to reach the $45 minimum.... http://geekvillage.com/ubb/frown.gif (I'm a buck or two short as of yesterday)

"Oh, the times they are a changin'...." (everybody join in now)

Thumbs down

I have over 1400 (!) AA referrals ... and I made $145 (Canadian, so do the math to convert to US funds) last month. Pretty dang low ... although, their new sweepstakes program, while it sure would be bad for people with lots of referrals, might be better for people with no referrals. I mean, it takes months just to earn the minimum if you have no referrals, at least this way you have a chance to win lots of cash. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

AllAdvantage isn't the first one to do this by the way ... mValue apparently converted to a sweepstakes-style program as well. And while ePipo released their adbar internationally recently, non-US members don't get cash, instead their get points which are entered into draws. That pretty much (word that starts with "su" and ends with "cks" http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif).

And damn Utopiad still isn't paying non-US members! ..... I hate P2S programs. Well not really, but they sure are taking a big nosedive. Within a year there probably will be hardly any left, unfortunately, and the ones that remain will all be either sweepstakes based like AA or will be % of advertising sold, no one will pay a set rate. (Or if they do it'll be more like $.12 per hour, not $.50 per hour.)

Oh well, all good things come to an end, I can't really be too mad at AA since they've paid me hundreds of dollars. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif

(Edited to fix the ***'s ... forgot about all of the censoring action going on here. Funny that damn isn't censored but "cr"+"ap" is. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Wink

The minimum payout is US$45? I thought it's $35...

Can you imagine what will happen to some webmaster who rely on AA completely and quitted their jobs a long time ago? http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif
