Default Do you use link shortening services?

Hi!
what are your thoughts on shortening services? Do you like it, or is it too spamy for you?
And where do you use it? On facebook, blogs?
I've been using shorte.st on my blog for a few weeks now and Iím really happy with it.
If I have to chose between a banner and a pass-through ad, I definitely prefer the second one.
Thanks to that I don't have to worry about ads cluttering my blog.
Your thoughts?

Link Shorters are fine if you are not trying to track anything. Otherwise Bots/crawlers will throw off all your stat's.

I use bit.ly - I don't know. Internet indoctrination I suppose. I have liked it. But I don't use it for the website.

When every character counts, these services reduce long URLs to tiny forms. But which is the best to use, when so many are offered and new ones seem to appear each day? Below, issues to consider and a breakdown of popular services.

I won't usually use them on Facebook, but I will on Twitter because you're limited in characters. Overall, I prefer not to use them myself.

If it's an important link that I'll use often. I'd get a domain name to redirect.
