Life is only life IF there IS a beach..with a roller coaster..and hot dogs..and a couple of darkrides..and some raging surf. Ain't summer grand? 24/7/352= SD@SoCal

Sorry to reply so soon..but I wanted to make sure there was some fire on the icon.
Ain't it just a bit refreshing to have at least one topic be devoid of serious content and have it 'hot' to boot? Thanks London!
Makes me want to increase my 'Fish'n'Chips' intake.

I just heard on the news today that alot of beaches in Michigan will most likely be closed most of the summer time due to high bacterial levels...

I remember a while back when we never had to worry about this (only broken glass bottles) http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

It is the WATER that has the bacteria..
Water doesn't effect the sand does it?
Or does the bacteria creep out of the water and travel through the sand? http://geekvillage.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

You ever wonder why they let people walk their dogs at the beach? There are no fire-hydrants, no trees and usually no bushes (unless you are in Mississippi, where for some genius reason they planted tall grass to keep the wind from blowing the sand into the Gulf).

Broken bottles and glass can hurt ya, but I keep my shoes on because of dogs

Once, I walked on the beach
and stepped on a dog.
I was busy looking at a baby
that had been rolled in the sand.
It looked like a big Almond Rocca.

If you have ever lived by the beach or owned a dog, you'll agree that one of the most natural things to do is to take your dog to the beach on a warm, lovely afternoon...
All you gotta do is make sure to walk the dog before you actually go to the beach, so that it'll do all it needs to do (if you know what I mean). Then, it's all play... http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

Joe -- I knew some smart mama would eventually ask this -- just didn't think it would be so soon...

Thus, I say, be a little creative http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

Uhm... there's a beach in idaho falls: Its called rigby lake. It's about 1/2 mile long, and there's more dog poop than sand.
I hate dogs. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif
